This pilot training course guides you through the world of Learning Processes in Youth Work. It is designed to support you to connect with your passion for facilitating learning in youth work and will equip you with a framework and the tools to do so.

It is a unique journey of educational opportunities meant for you, passionate and adventurous youth workers, who are ready and willing to reflect on, share, discover and explore how to work with facilitation of learning in youth work.

What does that mean; learning in youth work? What are the concepts/theories about learning we can apply? What does it mean for your role and attitudes as a youth worker? How do we design our programmes to allow for learning? What are methods and tools we can use to make learning happen? How to support young people to give words to and communicate the things they learnt in youth work. The training course offers you an opportunity to dive into these, and many more, questions around facilitation of learning in youth work.

The ‘Learning to Fly’ training course takes place in the framework of the Time To Show Off project in which the National Agencies from Ireland, Italy, Germany and Latvia together with SALTO T&C RC supported by a group of experts aim to produce modules about Facilitation of Learning in youth work that can be used in different educational settings providing youth worker education. The training course will be the first opportunity to try out the developed modules. In this perspective participants in the course will also have the chance to contribute to the development and further fine-tuning of the modules.
